The Learning Process

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases.

Knowledge Development (Home Study)

Here at Bottoms Up Scuba Indy we believe that a strong knowledge foundation regarding the principles and fundamentals of diving can aid our students all throughout their diving practices. To achieve this goal we have selected the best set of instructors for our online classes or you can study on your own by means of the text book and DVD that we will be providing you. Our instructors can answer any questions you may have while progressing through the lectures. By offering online knowledge development we reduce the time spent in a traditional classroom, which allows us to focus more on your pool skills. We are just one email away.

Confined Water Dives (Pool Dives)

For your safety we will be practicing the basic scuba skills inside the safety of our pools. The instructor will have you practice until you are able to do the skills like professionals and they will also help you build the confidence that you’ll need for your first open water dive.

Open Water Dives (Local or while on Vacation)

Review and use all the skills you’ve learned. This is your chance to explore the breathtaking views of the aquatic world and swim side by side with an amazing variety of marine life. Take your holiday and your life to a whole new level.
